Please help Noura and Mohammed Abu Nada save their family. After their home was bombed and destroyed, their family has been displaced multiple times, enduring unimaginable trauma along the way.

All donations to this fundraiser will go directly to Noura and Mohammed’s family to cover essential living expenses and contribute to their evacuation fund. While the border is currently closed, they are determined to save for the moment they can leave and seek safety. The situation has taken a heavy toll on the entire family, especially their little brother Ahmed, who is only 10 and deeply affected by the constant threat of violence.

Before October, the Abu Nada family enjoyed a bright future filled with promise. Noura was doing really welll in her Psychology and Counselling degree. She loved university life and learning about different cultures. Mohammed was preparing for his finals, and looking forward to a career in Nursing or Medicine.

Since October, their life has completely changed. Noura’s university and Mohammed’s school were demolished, and their neighbourhood was bombed and attacked with white phosphorous. They managed to escape with their family to Rafah, where they lived in tents for months.

Discovering their home had been destroyed was a really sad moment for them all. Living in a tent they’ve never felt safe, because they hear explosions and drones nearby all the time, so they always have the feeling they could lose a loved one at any moment. The constant stress and fear they have been living with is indescribable.

Basic necessities, including food, have become incredibly scarce and prohibitively expensive. As we’ve heard, the supply situation in Gaza is dire, with not enough aid getting to families in need.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be gratefully received, and will help this family realise their dream of making it through this traumatic time, and one day living in happiness and safety again.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

November update:

Since July, Mohammed and Noura’s family has been forced to flee violence not once, but twice, leaving them in a precarious situation. Their tent was damaged during their journey and has since been replaced, but they are now living in difficult conditions. With winter approaching, they urgently need support to winter-proof their tent and ensure it stays warm and dry.

In addition, they continue to rely on our support for essential food and supplies. Their immediate goal is to raise £775 (added to the fundraising goal) to cover the necessary items that will help them stay safe and comfortable this winter. Your support can make a real difference in their lives during this challenging time.

July update:

Moh & Noura’s family have been displaced again and are living in a tent. Thanks to your donations they were able to pay for the tent, supplies and transport to be able to escape when Rafah was invaded. The cost just to be able to move came to over $700.

Thank you so much for your continued support, which is a lifeline for this family. You can now set up a regular weekly or monthly donation <3 April update: Noura and Mohammed's family have been displaced again, this time to accommodation which is more like a garage than a house or apartment, so the conditions are really difficult. Evacuation has become an urgent priority now, so we also reviewed the budget and decided to increase the fundraising goal to include all the costs of living and evacuation for the whole family: Total in USD: $50,755 Equivalent in GBP: £40,160 (based on current exchange rates) These costs may change, depending on changes to fees or the length of time they have to wait to evacuate, so we'll review and update the fundraising goal and breakdown as the situation evolves. Any donations to this fundraiser will be a gift to Mohammed and Noura Abu Nada and their family and they'll allocate the funds according to their needs as their circumstances change. Although the border is currently closed, they still plan to save for when it reopens so they can evacuate to safety. March update: Thanks to your support, Mohammed and Noura's family have finally been able to move into a house, which is really great news. We're so grateful for your ongoing support, which makes it possible for them to continue living in the house as well as affording food and basic necessities. If any donations are received which are in excess of their weekly needs, it will be saved towards their family's evacuation fund, for which they need to raise $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, plus border fees and accommodation expenses for a family of 7. UK Fundraising organiser: Hi, I'm Sophie. I live in the UK and I'm helping my friends Noura and Mohammed Abu Nada to organise this fundraiser to support their family, who are in Gaza. We've known each other for over a year and keep in regular contact through messages and phone calls, with the help of friends who translate for us. They've told me a lot about their traumatic experiences through multiple displacements due to the aggression. I look after the fundraising page because it's not possible to do so from within Palestine. I don't make any deductions from the donations. The fundraising platform, Stripe and the e-transfer platform we use make small charges for service fees and currency exchange. I don't hold onto large amounts of money, I just check the balance once a week and send the funds straight to Hani for his family. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
